Rock Candy Shop Party

Have you tried going to a party with lots of rock candy decorations and treats? It’s called a candy shop party and will make guests feel that they are really inside a candy store for free. A candy shop has everything a kid can ask for – all candies are sweet and delicious plus there’s a lot of fun with friends around. If you enquire this early, the shops that sell rock candy can give you a hint on what their bestsellers are. It would also be great to provide best personalised lollipops as a variation.

As grownups today, we were the kids of yesterday, full of fun and frolic every time we gather with cousins, friends and other neighborhood kids during summers. We may return to memory lane and find ourselves having the best times with candies in our hands. They are the timeless companions to every gathering we had. Do you remember the sparkle in our eyes when someone gives us candy – cotton candy, gummies, fruit jellies, beans, gums drops, candy canes or chocolates?

Any type of candy given to us, we receive with excitement, smiles and twinkly eyes. We look back at these memories with fondness. Now that we are the ones who are responsible for creating memories for the little ones, we can splurge at our children’s parties and give them a candy shop theme and personalised lollies. They also are dear to the hearts of everyone because it’s rare to find a person who doesn’t love candy.

Kids know how to appreciate good taste and colour. That is why we strive to give them colourful toys as well like kaleidoscopes, glitters, beads and glow in the dark planets. Indeed, kids care a lot about their favourite colours. They each identify with a certain colour. Girls are fond of pinks, yellows and purples. Boys may prefer blue, red or green.

Want to know why kids would openly declare their favourite colours? Children are so keen with identifying themselves with colours because it gives them a sense of security. It’s like, “This is my colour. When you see this colour, you will identify this with me. So, what’s yours?” It provides them a way to distinguish themselves from others, and so claim their sense of self. Kids that are more confident are also the ones who stick to one colour preference than the less confident ones.

So, to give your child a sense of self, you should ask them of their favourite colour so that the party theme can be tailored to that colour. If your kid likes a certain cartoon character, then perhaps, the character’s colour will also be the child’s favourite. Ask if they want to have a particular cartoon character in their party decorations. Then, you may add that to the decors.

Also, for the decor, you can have candy topiaries and bouquets. Create topiaries in little bowls and bouquets in mini baskets, and jars of colourful rock candy in Australia. Candies are good decors because they can be presented in many designs. As an addition to the décor, you can also display cupcakes that have the same theme colour.
